What we are looking for:
Gympie Regional Council currently has a unique opportunity for a skilled and experienced applicant to deliver the assigned construction and rehabilitation projects for roads, bridges and associated assets with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service. Ensuring financial management, quality products, value for money, timely works delivery and the health and safety of staff.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Coordinate daily human and physical resources in order to carry out Construction activities.
- Facilitate continual staff development within their work teams along with staff training as required.
- Interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
- Plan construction activities including oversight of daily operations of construction crews.
- Implement and maintain cost control measures.
- Manage stakeholder/customer interactions.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications – Certificate III in Civil Construction/Civil Engineering or above.
- Demonstrated ability in leadership and management of teams.
- Knowledge of relevant contemporary civil construction practices and legislation.
- Knowledge of plant and equipment capabilities and requirements.
- Knowledge of WHS legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate quantities and estimate of costs.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and foster a customer service culture.

Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence or above that is current and maintained.

Construction Industry White/Blue card.
