Corporate Asset Officer - Fixed Term

Remuneration: Level 4 - annual salary commencing $86,250.84 plus superannuation

Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide valuable asset management support to the asset custodians throughout Council, and to monitor and maintain Council's asset data.

What we are looking for

Council is seeking an experienced asset management officer with a thorough understanding of asset management principles and processes to work as an integral part of our GIS and Assets function.  Reporting to the Manager - GIS and Assets, you will be required to liaise directly with asset custodians to ensure the currency, integrity and confidence of Council's assets data, including condition assessment data.  Your responsibilities will extend to providing asset data and reporting for other areas of Council, consultants, contractors, developers, residents and government agencies.  You will have the skill to support asset acquisition processes for all asset classes and will be pivotal in the development of asset management workflows and methodologies to assist in data processing within the Council's Corporate Asset Management System.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
  • Construction Industry White/Blue card.
  • High level interpersonal communication skill to facilitate the maintenance of relationships with asset custodians and the collection of accurate asset data.
  • High attention to detail with an ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience in asset management, and/or financial management, and a sound understanding of municipal or related asset management concepts and processes.
  • Experience in the use of asset management software.

Desirable for this position will be:

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of CAD, GIS and FME software.
  • Demonstrated experience with ADAC
