What we are looking for:
Gympie Regional Council is seeking an experienced admin person to join our Infrastructure Services Team. Provide administrative services, contract administration support and customer service for the Infrastructure Services Branch.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively in a multidisciplinary environment within set guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce high quality documents with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures including time management, planning and organisational skills to maintain deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner with the ability to be tactful and discrete when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature.
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence or above that is current and maintained.
Essential Requirements:
- Contract administration support.
- Provide administrative support, including word processing, data entry, report writing, correspondence, records management and development of standard operating procedures.
- Assist in special projects including procurement activities.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
- Analyse invoices, supply panel rates, costs allocation and contract terms and conditions to achieve best financial outcomes for Council.Prepare, append, reconcile and record financial information via councils online requisitioning system.
- To process data input/upload files and process for payment.
- Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.
- Maintain a positive organisational image, which promotes good customer relations and maximises the provision of a high level of service to enhance the customer experience.
