Coordinator TMR Contracts
Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $111,424, plus up to 13% superannuation. Council will consider an above-award payment for the successful candidate, based on suitability for the role, experience and qualifications.

Role Overview:
Support the Manager Operations Roads and Drainage with the total contract management and administration for Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Road Asset Performance Contract (RMPC) and other minor external contracts. Ensuring quality products, value for money, timely delivery and the health and safety of staff with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer service.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in administering a Department of Main Roads, Road Maintenance Performance Contracts.
- Experience using maintenance, project and financial management software.
- Knowledge of the principles of project management.
- Knowledge of relevant contemporary practice and legislation.
- Practical knowledge of industry best practices for maintenance treatment selection, workflow and work practice including strategy, costings, scheduling, programing and timing.
- Practical experience in supervision and management of civil works contracts.
- Demonstrated experience in industry best practice road maintenance activities.
- Understanding of quality assurance in civil works.
- Understanding of road materials and production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer literacy and experience in using handheld computer devices.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and foster a customer service culture.
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence or above that is current and maintained.
- Construction Industry White/Blue card.
Essential Requirements:
- Deliver the endorsed objectives and targets for the Unit as outlined in the Corporate Plan, Operational Plan, Business Plan, contract documentation and Staff Development reviews.
- Manage planning of the work units' activities in line with Legislation, Council’s Policies, and Procedures to mitigate non-compliances.
- Coordinate TMR contracts operational workflow and managing activities to ensure efficiency to meet the demands of council’s forward planning and maintenance activities including planning and procurement of works and materials.
- Total contract administration and management to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of contracts for the Department of Transport and Main Roads and other minor contracts as required.
- Undertake procurement activities for external contractor pricing, review of contractor responses prior to engagement for works and sub-contractor management and supervision.
- Provide technical support to the road maintenance delivery team and support the implementation of a mobile computing solution on TMR contracts.
- Assist in the implementation of quality assurance system across maintenance and TMR contracts.
- Development and implementation of a routine inspection schedule across TMR contracts.
- Coordinate audits and field investigations to report on incidents related to the activities associated with TMR contracts and develop reports, including reporting on insurance claims.
- Investigate, collate, monitor and evaluate information to provide reports on key performance indicators and outcomes of TMR contracts.
- Coordinate traffic and road operations, and road corridor management on the TMR network.
- Develop, implement and maintain systems for the monitoring and reporting on the contracts key deliverables.
- Exercising sound judgement, initiative and confidentiality including an ongoing review of business systems and processes within the unit as part of a continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive relationship with all key stakeholders.
- Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain a positive organisational image, which promotes good customer relations and maximise the provision of a high level of service to enhance the customer experience.
