Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $79,699, plus up to 13% superannuation

What we are looking for:

Gympie Regional Council has a fulltime fixed term, up to 12 months opportunity for an experienced administration professional.  Provide a high level of general administrative support to the Manager Governance, Integrity and Risk, whilst also providing administrative support in the disaster management function, which will be approx. 40% of the position or as required.

  • Provide accurate and timely administrative and support to the Manager Governance, as directed.
  • Provide high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders and correspondence support as required.
  • Assist with disaster management activities or other duties.

Essential Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Qualifications or active enrolment in a business-related field, or a minimum 3 years’ experience in an office environment.
  • High level written communication and attention to detail skills, as well as excellent verbal communication and highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities mange workloads and identify when to reschedule and reorganise tasks to reflect changes in priority.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties responsibly under limited supervision and take initiative to ensure the achievement of team goals while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrated high level administrative skills, including proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Office suite of applications, an online records management program.
  • Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
