Remuneration: Earn an hourly rate of $38.66 per hour for 28 hours per week plus up to 13% Super.

About the program
Studying or recently graduated? Our 12-week paid internship is the perfect way to kick-start your career gaining real-world experience and industry connections.
The program runs from late November 2025 to mid-February 2026, with 4 days a week (7hour/day). You’ll earn a $38.66 per hour, plus 13% super.

Opportunities
This year council has opportunities in the following areas: -
- Quarry Operations – suitable for engineering students
- Geographic Information Systems Team – suitable for GIS, computing, planning or spatial science students
- Environment and Sustainability – suitable for environmental management students.
- Wellbeing & Safety – suitable for business, law, engineer or occupational health and safety students.
About you
To be eligible for the Summer Break Internship Program, you must:
- Be enrolled in a relevant tertiary course at the University of the Sunshine Coast or on other Queensland campus and have completed 16 or more subjects.
- Have recently completed a relevant tertiary course at the University of the Sunshine Coast or other Queensland campus (within 12 months of graduation).
- Be able to commence in late November 2025 and work through to mid-February 2026 with a short break over Christmas-New Year.
Special Requirements
Certain roles may require specific qualifications, such as a General Construction Induction (White) Card. Students are responsible for ensuring they meet and provide all required qualifications.
