Remuneration: Competitive annual salary commencing at a banded range of $86,250 to $93,611 depending on skills & experience, plus up to 13% superannuation

Role Overview
Support the Coordinator Road Operations with the road corridor management and traffic operation duties to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of these tasks as required. The Officer Technical – Road Corridor Operations role offers road corridor operations expertise and support to all Gympie Regional Council Directorates. On request, this position provides technical assistance to other units of the Directorate.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in industry best practice for road and traffic operations including relevant legislation
- Proven high level administration experience and skills.
- Proven self-organisation.
- Advanced computer literacy specifically within the M365 suite and experience in using handheld computer devices.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
- Construction Industry White/Blue card.
Essential Requirements:
- The Officer Technical – Road Corridor Operations is responsible for the management of relevant activities within the road corridor. Such activities include, but are not limited to NHVR applications, Property access investigations and approvals, Gates and Grid compliance, Applications for street lighting & glare shields and more.
- Investigate, collate and provide technical advice to ensure compliance within the road corridor relevant to the functions of the Road Operations team.
- Conduct audits and provide recommendations to improve safety and functionality on worksites.
- Undertake audits and field investigations and report on incidents related to activities within the road corridor.
- Investigate, collate, monitor and evaluate information to provide reports on key performance indicators and outcomes of road and traffic operation activities.
- Support the coordination of traffic and road operations, and road corridor management.
- Investigate customer requests through the Customer Request Management (CRM) System and respond to customer enquiries where required.
- Develop, implement and maintain systems for auditing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Exercising sound judgement, initiative and confidentiality, including an ongoing review of business systems and processes within the unit as part of continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive relationship with all key stakeholders.
- Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain a positive organisational image, which promotes good customer relations and maximise the provision of a high level of service to enhance customer experience.
