  • Lead the delivery of maintenance services across critical water, sewerage and recycled water infrastructure assets for a growing regional community.
  • Competitive annual salary commencing at $115,323, with remuneration negotiable for the right candidate, plus up to 14% superannuation - 15% from July 2026 and 16% from July 2027.

  • Participate in a 1 in 4 rotating on-call roster as an Escalation Officer, attracting additional income through allowances and applicable penalty rates.

Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $115,323, with remuneration negotiable for the right candidate, plus up to 14% superannuation - 15% from July 2026 and 16% from July 2027 (with the addition of allowances and penalty rates from on-call work)

Role Overview

As Coordinator Maintenance Water, you will lead the planning and delivery of maintenance activities across a diverse regional network of water and sewerage assets. 
You will play a critical role in balancing reactive and planned maintenance, responding to incidents and driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of maintenance services across water, sewerage and recycled water assets
• Plan, prioritise and deliver maintenance programs, including scheduling and backlog management
• Manage reactive and emergency maintenance, ensuring timely response to asset failures and incidents
• Maintain asset performance and reliability, minimising service interruptions across all schemes
• Manage maintenance budgets, resources and contractor performance
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, systems and processes
• Support team capability through leadership, development and performance management
• Provide technical input into projects and operational improvements
• Monitor, report and deliver maintenance outcomes in line with service levels and targets

You will oversee maintenance delivery across multiple schemes, leading a multidisciplinary workforce and coordinating internal and external resources.

About you

You are an experienced leader with a strong background in water and sewerage operations or maintenance, capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.


Essential skills and experience:
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in water and sewerage operations and maintenance
• Experience leading teams and contractors in a maintenance or operational environment
• Experience planning and delivering maintenance programs, including scheduling and performance monitoring
• Strong understanding of water and sewerage systems and maintenance practices
• Experience managing budgets, procurement and contractor performance
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, safety and environmental requirements
• Experience using asset and work management systems
• Current Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence (or equivalent)
• Construction Industry General Induction Card
