The CBD of Gympie is the central hub to the Gympie region, which is two hours north of Brisbane and in close proximity to the Sunshine and Fraser coasts. Council offices are located in Gympie's town centre close to shopping, cafes and parking.

Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $65,007 (pro rata) plus superannuation

Role Overview

Gympie Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experience administration professional to join our Procure to Pay team on a full time, fixed term engagement through to 30 June 2023.

This position is required to assist in the provision of administrative services and customer service for the Infrastructure Services Directorate within Council.

It is responsible for, but not limited to, providing excellent customer service, maintaining Council's corporate records, data entry and purchase order processes.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate should have:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively in a multidisciplinary environment within set guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce high quality documents with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures including time management, planning and organisational skills to maintain deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner with the ability to be tactful and discrete when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature.
