Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $70,118.88 (level 3) plus superannuation

Role Overview
GRC currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Records and Information Management team on a permanent, full time basis as an Officer Information Management.
The purpose of this position is to assist with the efficient and effective capture and management of all Council records and assist with training of new employees in the use of Council's electronic records management systems.
This position will be responsible for:
- Support the Supervisor, Information Management to ensure councils adherence with legislative record keeping and disposal compliance processes.
- Classify, index, scan and register inwards correspondence into a range of electronic systems including the recording of metadata against Council’s records.
- Participate in regular quality control auditing processes of Council’s records within the Electronic Records and Document Management System (EDRMS).
- Assist in the consolidation of councils hard copy records from a range of locations within the region.
- Undertake disposal processes of records in accordance with Council’s Digitisation Disposal Policy.
- Undertake searches of Councils electronic/hard copy information assets to support the delivery of Council’s services and to meet statutory requirement.
- Participate or lead projects associated with Information Management as required.
- Assist in the delivery of regular training activates of Council staff regarding information management/records management practices and use of Council’s EDRMS.
- Undertake daily mail processing activities including scheduled pickup and delivery from various council locations.
To be successful, candidates will require:
- Demonstrated knowledge of or the ability to acquire records management policies and procedures (Local Government preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to classify, index, scan, register and file documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated ability to respond to internal customer requests in a professional and timely manner
- Sound ability or ability to acquire, knowledge and skills in the use of various electronic systems used to aid in the accurate classification and indexing of councils information.
Although not mandatory for the position, it would be advantageous for candidates to have previous experience in Microsoft 365, in particular Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
